With merely a spoken word,

God brought together atoms of minuscule size—

collecting as molecules, to empty the void…

giving body, substance, breadth, height, depth,

 to matter, shaped

by the wisdom of His breath.

He thought… He spoke… He created…

unfolding, shaping, transforming nothingness into Light and Life.

All the while, wrapping the Universe in mystery

and initiating humanity and history on a God-Hunt lasting centuries, millennia…

although many deny Who and What the search is for.

Within the first man, the first woman—

red man, adamah (Hebrew), meaning earth,

and the one fashioned solely for him,

woman, chawah/chayah (Hebrew), meaning to breathe/to live—

God imbedded within these two diverse personalities

made in His image,

a tremendous dose

of curiosity, wonder, amazement, awestruck-ness.

nudging us to inquire,

He offered clues and whispered words,

hinting at His presence,

literally commanding us to seek after Him as if searching

for hidden treasure.

Have you seen His goodness?

Found His truths?

Learned His wisdom?

Felt mercy so tender?

Experienced forgiveness—the removal of your offenses

as far as the East is from the West?

All this and infinitely more from the only wise God Who begs to be found.

The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament shows His handiwork.

Day unto day utters speech, and night unto night reveals knowledge.

There is no speech nor language where their voice is not heard.

Their sound has gone out through all the earth,

and their words to the end of the world.  –  Psalm 19:1-4

For behold, He who forms the mountains, and creates the wind,

Who declares to man what his thought is, and makes the morning darkness,

Who treads the high places of the earth—

The Lord God of hosts is His name.  –  Amos 4:13

Wearing human flesh, traversing earthen soil,

willingly confining Himself to Time and Space…

mid riddles and stories and parables, proclaimed by the Teacher’s lips,

proof of His existence is there.

Some choose to ignore, to push it aside…

are left grasping at excuses for their unbelief,

because deep down they know—

in the depths of their innermost being, are intuitively aware of His presence.

Why do humans so easily believe otherwise,

that He is not interested in us…

that all of life happened by chance?

Why are the simple truths of The Creator’s love and illumination

so hard to believe?

To be continued…
