There is no end to East or West

when forgiveness is sought,

when forgiveness is found.

No poles to divide or stop the flow,

no closing door on mercy’s light,

the pardon given only by God…

no boundary lines to mark the edge,

no well of remission running dry.

Because there is no limit to the nature of the grace

belonging to God.

in Geometry class? (Or was it Algebra? I never was good at math.)

The line that goes on forever,

called Infinity?

That’s how far my sins are removed—

from me,

from my life,

from His view.

When He forgives He sends them away,

and no longer sees the wrong.

Once they’re confessed, they’re forever gone.

As in Forever.

And for eternity.

Which also, by the way, has no end.

Notice, He didn’t say our sins are removed as far as the North and South,

because north ends at the North Pole,

and South ends at the other pole.

And I suppose they’re still going

in opposing directions, in counter routes across the universe.

Never to meet again.

For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward those who fear Him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.  –  Psalm 103:11-12
