He walked on this earth, touching, healing, speaking… even today Jesus speaks. How attentive do I listen? How eager am I to believe? How willing am I to submit?
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. – J0hn 3:16-17
The first verses learned as a child, engraved on our hearts while young… He came to remove condemnation and to provide redemption. Because of His immeasurable love.
If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water. – John 4:10
…for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. – John 4:23-24
Worship – with all my heart, grounded in truth, clothed in the beauty of holiness.
Jesus said to him, Go your way; your son lives. So the man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and he went his way. And as he was now going down, his servants met him and told him, saying, Your son lives! – John 4:50-51
When Jesus speaks, do I believe? Do I live as if I know His word is true?
Do you want to be made well? – John 5:6
Whether physical illness, mental instability, emotional upheaval or spiritual need, this is the question of the ages.
Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but has passed from death into life. – John 5:24
It is I; do not be afraid. – John 6:20
Never fear, but always reverence the Almighty God.
I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst. – John 6:35
…the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. – John 6:63
But Simon Peter answered Him, Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. Also we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.
Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment. – John 7:24
Holding to the standard of His principles and not man’s stubborn preferences or proud traditions.
And Jesus said to her, Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more. – John 8:11
You are forgiven. Now leave your life of sin.
If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. – John 8:31-32
Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM. – John 8:58
Jesus is The Eternal One. Who was and is and is to come. Immanuel. God with us.
And He still speaks.
